Du 13 au 16 juillet 2014, s'est déroulé au Palais des congrès de Montréal le congrès international conjoint de la Société américaine de génie agroalimentaire (ASABE) et de la Socété canadienne de génie agroalimentaire et de bioingénierie (CSBE/SCGAB). L'événement a réuni 1607 participants provenant de 35 pays, dont 1063 Américains, 264 Canadiens, 115 Chinois, 44 Coréens du sud et 21 Brésiliens. Plus de 1000 communications techniques y ont été présentées en ingénierie appliquée à l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l’environnement.
