The "Association des ingénieurs en agroalimentaire du Québec" has the mission to promote agri-food engineers, their role in the development of the Quebec’s agri-food sector, and to maximize the visibility of its members. Globally, the Association wants to:
- Give every member the chance to promote himself and agri-food engineer in agreement of Association’s objectives;
- Represent its members when the Executive meets any organization whose actions can affect agri-food engineering;
- Promote agri-food engineering to any concerned or interested organization;
- Encourage any scientific, technical or professional activity related to agri-food engineering that fills a need for its members;
- Participate in the writing of technical reports or dissertations on any element related to agri-food engineering;
- Protect the field of practice of its members by meeting any concerned organization and reporting any illegal practice;
- Work with universities to assure high-quality programs for future agri-food engineers;
- Maintain a contact list of people working in agri-food engineering;
- Favor networking between its members;
- Highlight the exceptional contributions of its members;
- Encourage its members to show professionalism and ethics at work.
